Hello Masood and Immigration Experts,
I would like to start off by saying that I recently applied for sponsorship of my husband and with God's grace, we were successful in our application and he was
successful in his interview. There is only one pressing matter to which I require some assistance.
My husband's visa states he must enter Canada by 08/02/2005 and we will be leaving the UK on 28/01/2005. I have a valid Canadian passport as I am a Canadian citizen. My query is in regards to my husband's passport which is due to expire 16/02/2005 and is of Pakistani origin. Will he be able to enter Canada with this passport or will he need to renew or apply for a new passport? If renewal/reapply is necessary, what will happen to his old passport with the valid visa?
Many many thanks for your help and assistance in the past and I look forward to a reply from you soon.
Sabrina :-)
When you get a new Passport (at least an Indian one), and if you have Visa stampings in your previous PP, they staple them together.
So, assuming the rules are the same for Pak PPs, I'd recommend that your husband applies for PP renewal.
Hi,
In skilled worker class, if u get new passport, u are supposed to inform the consulate about the new passport as the passport number is different from the one what was in the application. I don't know about the family class.
