Hello,
I am a Canadian citizen and I got a job with a U.S company, The U.S company issued me a offer letter with title as "computer system analyst" and one letter to the U.S immigration for TN visa.
My visa got rejected at the Buffalo border, as they said I have three years of university education and they require four years. along with the rejection they did a finger printing.
Now my question is can I travel to U.S for just a visit or holidays ?
Also can a Canadian citizen get H1B visa ?
Any help in this matter will be much helpful for me.
Regards
Ram
Hey Ram... How can you apply for TN without this basic requirement. You should have done the research or consulted a professional or asked this forum. Anyway you messed it up and it is over now for some time.
You can travel to US in holidays but more questions will be there and you need to prove that your intention is only for travel.
Four year degree requirement will come on your way for H-1 also. You need to pullout your old credentials if any or get some in Canada and get the evaluation done which may help for your future TN or H1. You may contact 4165484180 for a possible help.
Hi Gurram,
Thanks for your comments, it helps.
By any chance, do you know where I can get my evaluation done here in Toronto.
Thanks
Ram

Before you go for evaluation, make sure you have related diplomas/certificates in addition to your 3 year degree .... to make you equivalent of a four year degree holder from North America.
I got my equivalency from WES, and also have 3 years' degree from India.
My question is if they mention you're equivalent to the Bachelor's degree in Canada, does it mean India's 3 years = Canada's 4 years' degree?
Just want to straighten out my doubts here as well. In 8 years, I am yet to use my WES credential evaluations. May be in the future, as I am also an IT Professional. Who knows if I may have to apply in US tomorrow. Also, in case of such situations, would Post Graduate Diploma (PGDBA) from India count as 4 years total?
Man, so many questions.
Your 3 years Indian degree will become equal to 4 year Canada/ American Degree provided you have related advanced education at the post secondary level . for example you have done one year post graduate diploma. They add up that to your 3 year bachelor degree .... and say that your credentials are equivalent to North American Bachelor degree.
Those who do B.Tech will not have this problem as they will have 4 years of study.
One thing is crazily misleading. While the companies (even big names) hire you despite of your 3 or 4 year's degree, how come the immigration is hell bent on 4? This appears the US immigration system in this sense is at par with Canada's where what the companies want and look for doesn't sync with the immigration policies.
Then they say they have dearth of talent in Science and Technologies.
