Hi All,
Please guide me, what preparation I have to do to get US visitor visa.
1. I am holding Canadian PR and staying in Canada since 1.5 years
2. I am working full time in Canada
3. Married with Canadian citizen and we own house in Mississauga. Spouse also have full time job.
4. Previously, when I was in India in '2001 I have applied for student visa and it got rejected. So I have that rejection in my passport.
Questions - I really appreciate to get the answer
1. Does this rejection will affect me for this time when I will apply?
2. What kind of supportive document I need to show?
3. I have my maternal Uncle leaving in US – should I show their address and information when I am planning to visit. Is there any problem, if I show visiting family member in US?
4. What is the intent of purpose will be the best chance to get visa? Visiting relative or friend?
Please help....
Honestly, I don't think your having been rejected for a F-1 will impact your B-1/B-2 visa app now, especially because you are working in Canada and own property here(and Perm Resident of course). However no one can give you a definitive answer. It really is upto the visa officer, though I doubt you'll have problems.
