i need to extend the stay for my wife. She came on a dependent visitor visa.
She received a Visitor Record at the Port Of Entry.
After few months, she was approved for an Open Work permit.
Both,Visitor Record and Open Work Permit, have same Client IDs but different Document numbers.
She no longer plans to work.
In the application of extension as temporary resident, which permit details needs to be referenced : Visitor Record or Open Work Permit?

Your mail is kind of confusing.
Anyway ... there will be only one Client ID. Once issued, it will never change again.
You may refer current open work permit for extension of stay as a visitor.

i will try to simplify.
my wife has an open work permit which was applied from within canada. When she first entered canada, she was as a Visitor and given a Visitor Record at the port of entry.
The expiry date on both is the same.
I need to apply for her extension now.
If I apply for her extension using Open work permit, she gets an Extension for Open work permit, but we don't need open work permit now.
I want her to stay as a visitor.
so can i apply for extension of temporary resident using her Visitor record?
The open work permit has a note : "this document replaces visitor record document". Hence I was not sure.
