I have applied for renewal of my PR card on 12th December 2012. I had the required number of residence days in Canada and the application had no apparent defects. In Febraury 2013 I received a letter from CIC asking for translation of some of the immigration stamps in the Passport.
I emailed them enquiring why they needed the translations as the stamps were bilingual in English and Arabic. In the meantime I got the stamps translated and sent those to CIC. A month after wrting to CIC i.e. in March 2013 I got an email reply stating that the translation was not required and they regret the inconvenience.
Since that time I have no communications from CIC and my PR is still pending with them even though it is nearly 6 months since I applied.
I have called the Call Centre and tried to visit the local Immigration office in Calgary, all without any luck as to when I can get the PR card.
As per the CIC website the PR cards are renewed in 80-90 days. Is there any reason for the delay and can I do something to expedite the matter as I plan to travel out of the country in September and my old PR card has expired now.
