Do you know the rough area of each unit ( or your unit ) ..square feet for the $ 3,000 per unit.

I met some Chinese guy for my roof..the fool gave me a $ 10,000 quote for my house !!..he thinks I am stupid.

Did they put the shingles on directly on the roof plywood or did they put an ice/snow shield barrier ( thin film ) first..there is extra charge for that

An ice and water shield is a thin layer of waterproof material that is self-adhered to a roof under the shingle layer to prevent water leakage from ice dams.

As per code, they need to install the Ice and Water shield for one meter of width from the edge of the roof and it should be included in the estimate. It prevents leakage in case of water dam build up at the edge of the roof due to hotter attic from the center and cooler edge of the roof.

yes, they put ice and water shield 3 feet around heated edges and valleys.

I just dig out our estimate and found he charged us $8760 + taxes for 4 townhouses.

we paid in cash so he given us discount and charge half of the HST amount.
