An atrocity is an atrocity, whether committed by a Muslim or a non Muslim.
For your information, innocent Muslims are also targeted and as much victims of terrorism as are non Muslims.
And Btw, Afghanistan is a Muslim country, in case you did not know.
I feel you got a bit carried away with that 30% figure! That would mean that out of every 100 Muslims that I know, 30 would be radicalized fanatics! Well, I know hundreds and NOT ONE OF THEM IS LIKE THAT. They are all enlightened human beings.
I hope that that "silver lining" that you mentioned and looking so much forward to has some effect. The world and the human race will be better off with more education and less of religious indoctrination. Still, I doubt if we will ever totally be rid of HATE on planet Earth so threads like this will always have followers. I have not seen any intellectual input here, just stereotyping people and spreading disinformation about them......

There are certain things that sound very good but do not have any meaning .

Your statement that an atrocity is an atrocity etc etc sound very good similar to the statement that people state that terrorists do not have any religion .

However have you ever reasoned why most of the terrorists are Muslims ?

Have you ever counted the numbers that die because of Islamic terrorism the world over ... if some of your own family member would have died / dies , you will realize it better.

Have you ever reasoned that why non Muslims are targeted by the Muslim radicalists ?

Have you ever reasoned why though totally in different parts of the world , these Islamists have a similar agenda spawned by the religion itself and exhibit the same pattern of killing & violence ?

Have you ever reasoned why people born in liberal places like Canada & England & France have been radicalized so easily by the religion .

Have you ever wondered why Islam promises those who die for the religion with 72 virgins in after life ..

Have you ever wondered why Islamists kill / subjucate women who wish to educate themselves

Have you ever reasoned why Jihad is a main pillar of Islam and how it is used so widely for killings ?

How come groups like Al Qaeeda , ISIL , Boko Haram , Al Shabab depict the same pattern of non tolerance of other religions...... You cannot go away by saying that it is a misinterpretation ... where there s smoke theres fire.

You may go on living in your own utopia but as a previous poster said .. burrying your head in the sand does not help - if you think objectively , there s a big , big problem threatening the world and if not found a solution to , will knock on your door.

And I do not hesitate in doing so that the root cause of all these religion caused problems are the doctrines of the religion itself which should be modified otherwise such radicalizaton was the objective of Islam.

1) Fido's post carries the latest headlines from around the world. I fail to see which of these items is the disinformation here.

2) Kindly lead the way by giving your intellectual input that will make all this horrific violence go away. I am eager to hear your solutions that can make things better than what they are now.
