It is so funny that he is back in BJP after what he did to them in 1999 ...... here is a blast from his past .......
" A disillusioned and dispirited RSS has set the ball rolling for mid-term general elections in which it hopes that the BJP will gain an absolute majority and implement the Hindutva agenda."
In his own words and now he is part of the same "team" ..... read full article here ... http://www.frontline.in/static/html/fl1702/17020950.htm
Wonder what are his thoughts on "Hindutva agenda" now.
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"
Hope Modi G won't have to go through what Atal G had to because he refused to make him the finance minister.
Going by your argument, people should vote for the same party for ever and not according to their performance.
SS has not switched over to any party for the sake of getting a minister post just like say a Ram Vilas Paswan or a V.C.Shukla. SS not piggy backed but worked against 2G scam ever since it started, by repeatedly writing letters to prosecute Raja (atleast 5 of them over a period of 2 years). Because of his excellent work on 2G and Coalgate, UPA got a bad name among the urban and middle class and they started looking at BJP as an alternative.
SS is 70 years, definitely not after MP or minister post which may only stifle his functioning. His methods will be drastic which may not be to the liking of vested interests. But grave problems facing our country does need surgical intervention.
As of now, Modi's approach is cosmetic, is happy to hand over the reins to Jaitley and he goes wherever microphone and camera travels. Australia is going to be Modi's next destination.
It is for the party to utilise SS talent, otherwise Modi and BJP are going to end up as losers
