where to get indian basil plants in surrey. i found basils in superstore but that is not good.
i brought a basil plant from south india 4 months back but it didn't grow here.
Get a small box or a plastic pail of MIRACLE GROW and a nice small planter to get started with and use INDOOR SOIL which is Grub Free. When you are planting the seeds or any time you are doubtful about the fresh plantings, use the top layer with Miracle Grow. then you are all set. Nothing more to worry, as they contain growth hormones in them for any kind of plant.
A few of the plants are temperature sensitive. HOLY BASIL is one such plant. You will have to get your seeds from the TROPICS for the HARDY Variety. That is for another day.
Please go through the links and read and get to know more about the plants that you want to grow. Now I have a FOREST indoors. But no WEEDS.

There is a VERY SPECIAL Variety known as KARPOOR Tulsi. Very aromatic and very soothing one too. I have tasted a set of them in a TEA house. It is a rate find. Need seeds to cultivate them. Good Luck. fh

I am from the school of hard knocks. AND I retain a lot of what I read, learnt or heard. It all comes back to the forefront when I jog my memory. Here is a little bit more from me.

Before you plant drop all the seeds into a pail of water. The ones that will sink to the bottom will germinate. fh
