Hi Fido,

Go with Gas snow blower for sure...do not buy electrical one. Electrical one is not powerful enough to clear the snow and you have to be careful with electrical wire all the time....too much hassle and not worth it all.

If you find any good deals than please share with us. I am in same boat like you and looking for both items....:)

2 cents from myside....;)

My 2cents on this topic is..definitely go for gas lawn mower..check the RFD thread where you will all the comparisions and hot deals

Regarding snow blower, i would avoid if its regular 2 car garage drive way. shoveling would be efficient, healthy exercise. We will hardly get once or twice above 10cm snow, even thats not really tough to shovel for an average person (involve your spouse/kids as well).

Thanks for your suggestions and advice.

Checked that the lawn is not very big.

Brought this electric corded yesterday for $95-$10(1st online purchase) from Lowes.

Sun Joe 11-Amp 14-in Electric De-Thatcher with Collection Bag (AJ800e)

This is currently on sale @ Home Depot for $150/-

Should suffice for now ..Thanks.

Fido, are you looking to cut the grass with the above machine?

As you already bought electric lawn mower, it ll make more sense to buy an electric snow thrower.

It's not as powerful as Gas one.. but it pretty much does the job..

This winter I bought a snow joe snow thrower for 150$ + 50$ wire..(I expect it to last for atleast 2 winter).
For my driveway, without snow thrower it used to take close to 2 hours to clean 20cm of snow.. now it takes 20-25 mins.. + I don't have to scoop, lift and throw..

For Toronto winter I guess electric snow thrower is good enough.. but if you have space, money for gas snow blower, then go for it..

Yes R_C , I am .. the lawn I suppose is 20 ft by 10 ft.

Do you think this would not work? Please share your honest opinion as the item is still not picked up.
