Two weeks to spring and yet it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas again.
While many are longing for the sight of a rosebud, the sound of a bird call and all the other fresh, natural harbingers of spring, many other householders are experiencing an even greater want – the want of a snow shovel.
"We've been sold out of shovels for four weeks," Dan Blair, manager of the seasonal department at the Home Depot at Gerrard Square, said yesterday.
"Every year we've been stocking shovels and taking them off the shelves early when there isn't any snow.
"Now we've got people coming in needing to replace their broken – or stolen – shovel. But we don't have any more."
_____________
Tired of shoveling? There is one more storm coming over the weekend.

I had go to 3 home depots, 2 lowes and 2 Canadian Tire before I got one.. The canadian tire at Dundas and Tomken had a few in stock last week, if any one wants.... Hope that is not sold out!
according to Environment Canada this is the second most snowy winter we have. here in ottawa we got over 350cm of snow so far and more is on his way over the weekend storm (It has the potential to drop 30 to 50 centimetres of snow) the most snowy winter ottawa had in 1970-1971 with 444.1 cm
