Hi,

We are new immigrants here and besides getting ourselves acquainted with the new culture and lifestyle here, we are eagerly looking f orward to witnessing our very first snowfall....

can anyone shed light on when the first snowfall can be expected this year in toronto?

You haven't heard yet the story of three Ws. Did you?

If not: You can't predict three things in Canada - Work, Wife and Weather..

So when you ask when first snow will come, no one can answer.

BTW, I like the eagerness of seeing snowfall. I also had same thing first year.

Here is how I fealt for first snowfall I saw:

Our company was moving to a new location in Mississauga. I had to go there to install new computers and network. It was mid november of 2000. While the technical person was doing that and I was helping him, all of a sudden snow started falling. I was amazed. It was 9th floor, the 401 was nearby and visinity was so clear that I stood near window for 1 hour forgetting my work looking at snow, snow and snow. It was sticking and then melting on windows. It was on trees, the 401 was moving cautiously, the driveways and parking lots were white. The parked cars were covered with snow and so on...

Now?

I hate it. :kaioken:

Arrey boss, aap to bura maan gaye. Hum to tareef kar rahe the! :)

I only posted my comment because I enjoyed reading your experience. My first experience with snow was hardly as pleasant. Unfortunately I wasn't within a warm office, but on the road, waiting for my bus in the middle of a blizzard.
