Of course you don't understand patriotism, but you sure understand the concept of the muslim Ummah. Let's all hear your view on the Ummah in this context. Do you think the Ummah concept is also as absurd as patriotism?
Patriotism is the same as having self-respect or team spirit. Patriotism arises from the feeling of integrity / care with your fellow beings.
You didn't get to pick you mother, so are you going to let anyone mistreat her? Stop using these absurd examples for your Taqiyya.
Those who 'khate Hindustan ka aur gaate Pakistan ka' will always find patriotism absurd.

I am sorry, but do you know anything about the history between the two countries? Because if you knew, you wouldn't consider this a private affair (please refer to 'Two Nation Theory').
