Thanks 4 sharing in ur views and enriching other readers with ur experience and observation .

4 a long period now v cud read ur curious posts looking for a prospective Imigration 2 Canada . I peronslly feel that u ve taken the best decison which is difficult 2 counter . U seem 2 have had ur cake and wud b eating t shortly as well by ptting ur daughter as a prospective Canadian citizen whilst u continue 2 save ur INR 4lacs pa thereby massively increasing ur savings .......... U cudnt have decided better I mst say ...its a conscious pragmatic decison .

In my opinion, your decision is smart. You can enjoy both the worlds, make your money at your prime and retire later in Canada. Meanwhile, your daughter studies in Canada and becomes a citizen.

A very well thought out strategy and i'm sure other CD members from the gulf will also benefit from your post. All the best !!

Its indeed a good plan... atleast theoretically. Well, we do not know with the tumoil thats going on in the world today, what the sponsorship / admissibility rules would be like 1o-15 years down the line. I am almost in the same boat (Age wise, financewise and careerwise ) with my son having secured admission in a University in Canadaafter his 12th. I am planning to land in Canada by the weekend. But, I would prefer to have my papers right firstly and meet all the requirements given an option rather than waiting for 10/15 years in these tubulent times! And let the son grow independently in his own might and right. We all strive to give the best of everything to our children. We also believe that the character inculcated in them by us over the time should hold them in good stead! But,I think that expecting too much from our children over the time and all the time would only lead to our dissatisfaction and pain. Its a different world for them and we should not be a part of it all the time and all the while. This, I frankly feel would only lead to our unhappiness.
The world is changing and the world orders are changing. I feel its a far fetch to think of something as to what would happen after 10-15 years!We know how the world has changed after 9/11 in a flash!! The past is history and the future is mystery. Today is called -present- a present/ a gift from God. Live with it.
