How long it will take after getting file number

Iam new to CD...

can any one give me info on process after getting file number from CHC LONDON applied from UAE . I am also from UAE(ABU DHABI), aplied last year october-2003.
i got the file number in Jan-2004.

FILE # IN 3 MONTHS, RIGHT UPTO MEDICAL IN 10 MTHS – 1YR.

I understand your anxiety. yes we applied from dubai and took less than a year right upto getting our medical date. we delayed our medicals by a couple of months as thereafter you have 1 year from the date of medicals to make an entry after which you have to reply again. We did not want to go back to dubai hence managed to delay by couple of months to get that one whole year after our medicals. we had requested our agent for abudhabi instead of UK and in couple our interview was done in couple of minutes.saved us the hassle and the money to get to UK and we are now in Canada for little over 2 years, tough life but we made it.
