Hi,

Did anyone in Toronto area applied Canadian ship 6 months early? I heard from people that they applied eraly and got the citizenship as is is taking 12 months to get the citizenship ...

the citizenship act requires applicants to have resided in canada for 3 years out of 4... according to the act, they must fullfil residency requirement on the DAY BEFORE they apply...

regardless, you must still complete 1095 days in canada before you apply... the only hole in the act for residency requirement is, if residence is less than 1095 days because of absences outside canada by few weeks, then it goes to a judge to decide...

if you apply early, you will be refused... anyone who tells you differently about applying 6 months before requirement is fulfilled and they got it is hogwash...

Bighead, this question has been answered ad infinitum. However, ppl do not bother to search for this query or similar queries and instead post a new question. I remember you gave a similar answer to another person who had a similar question.
