Arrey yaar, CAPS LOCK off karo na. :)

Here's the email Jake sent me a few days back

"next month the hurricane season is at its height
http://www.ns.ec.gc.ca/weather/hurricane/kids3.html
You may get lucky tho. Also if you are going this season(sept is low
season) to cuba you should not pay more than 2000 cad (max) for the 2 of
you.

I was doing online research and price comparisons for about 3 weeks
prior to my booking. Ultimately I found a good deal through my travel
agent. However you may have better luck online @ places like
selloffvacations.com and tripcentral.ca. Many of the deals are not
available to people with kids(who need their own airplane seats).
heres what I got
"The best I found is in Santa Lucia at the Brisas Santa Lucia, 4star
hotel, airport is Camaguey
5aug to 12aug adult 1028.00, child 708.00...total fare 3472.00..i can
give you a discount of 100.00.
I also have Brisas Guardalahaca Villas 7Aug to 14Aug at
3891.00total...discount of 100.00."

I took the latter option cause I found that its a good hotel. If you are
going to cuba...make sure your hotel is atleast 4 star( the star system
works on a slightly different basis in cuba :-)). In the dom republic
and places like bahamas, mexico etc...I've heard that you don't have to
worry about this problem.

Also check out what other guests say about the place from here
http://www.debbiescaribbeanresortreviews.com/ and here
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ these sites really prepared us for the visit
to the place and what to pack, kid of tips appreciated(e.g toothpaste
/toiletries/kids stuff are good tips in cuba) etc.

Happy hunting!

Hey guys,

this is really good info, but I would just request to keep one common thread, that I started few days back. It's not coz I started it, but if we don't do it, the imp info will be scattered on difft threads. We all can share our experiences of difft places that we go to or have been to, on one common thread so rest of us can source it from there easily.

I am just trying to create a good source of info for all of us under one thread titled, "VACATION DESTINATIONS".

It's only my suggestion. Opinion and suggestions, welcome.

Enjoy !!
