How much Child tax benefit can anyone get if he has one child if income is around 26K.

Like somebody was saying that if you have low income, you can get child tax from Ontrario govt. too ? If yes then do we have to apply seperately ?

You get from day one after you enter canada. Obviously the frist few months you are definitely without a job. one of the 1st thing that families with children should do is apply for Child Tax benefit just with the same urgency as applying for SIN card. You get a farily good amount $ 200 and up. In your case of $ 26K salary not sure if you are still eligible.

Oh ya and I think u shoudl get to doing some reading will help. I can't guide you much as I am not eligible to this and haven't done a thorough study.
