How cold is montreal

I will be moving to montreal really soon and was wondering how cold it would be...I have been in Vancouver since last 2 years...and its ok in winter ..only -13 ....-17 was the lowest I have seen...
Any help appreciated.

how about getting ready for -40. but those rare times. u got to be preapred for the worst anyways during winter.

All i know is on average Montreal is cooler than Toronto and Ottawa. Toronto goes upto -35/-40.. so Montreal would be almost the same..

But Montreal has very good skeeing places and winter is supposed to be a beautiful site there.
