Hi:
Please share your information on Oath Notice for Citizenship
test taken on June 28, 2004 at Scarborough Town Centre.
I was told that I will be notified in 10 weeks.
It has been over 12 weeks now.
I was also told on inquiring that, it would take
minimum 10 months for the whole process.
I applied November 20, 2003.
It is indeed past 10 months and 10 weeks as promised by the
Citizenship & Immigration Canada.
I have a gravely ill mother back home, and I don't know if I
should leave now or wait?
I am really stressed and in dilemma?
Anybody please share your information or any advice for me.
Thank you
rrt

Hi Zianika,
I don't know whether you received your Oath letter or not but If you have not received yet,You can call CIC and ask for Scarborough office Fax number.
CIC gave me the FAX number they told me Scarborough Office does not have Public phone.
Explain Your situation by Fax.
I am sure You will get some answer from them.
I gave my written test on 8th July and still waiting for Oath Call.
Thanks a lot MAMA, I really appreciate your precious time and advise.
As a matter of fact, October 10, 2004 I have still not received any
feedback from Scarborough Office.
I made several calls to CIC and was told that the Citizenship Judges
were on vacation for the month of July and August 2004 as well
as their computer system was being upgraded in the month of September 2004.
They also gave me new file number as to locate my case in their new
upgraded computer system.
!!!!!!!!What a lame and irresponsible excuse by Govt' organization!!!!!
I sent a letter to Sacrborough Office explaining my mother's
illness and requested for urgency. It's been over four weeks now,
no replies as to whatever the status of my application.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They don't simply care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please keep in touch and e-mail me at if
any new developments in your receiving the Oath letter.
Thanks once agian
I wrote the Citizenship Test in June 2004 aswell and I'm also waiting to take the oath of citizenship. I called CIC Scarborough office and they said the wait time for the Oath of Citizenship for the Scarborough office is five months, after writing the test. The Scarborough Office does have a telephone number and it is 416-952-6500 or fax them at 416-952-0103.
Dear Freedom55,
Thanks for updating the information but I tell you that the reply you received from CIC Scarborough does not look authentic. One of my friends attended the test on June17'04 and already got the citizenship card means he already finished his Oath (that too more than two weeks ago that is less than three months from test).
I mentioned in my reply that they don't have a public phone like what CIC Call centre has got like 1-888-242 2100 and this information I received from CIC call centre only.
Thanks any sorry for any inconvenience caused to Zianika or any one by my reply.
Thanks to Zianika for responding to my reply.
I Finally received the Oath Invitation.I hope others who are tested during June-July at Scarborough Town Centre must also have received the same.
