Dear Massood,

Till now , there is no update from the CHC, New Delhi.

By 11th of this month, Eight months will be completed for my medicals.

I don't know, what is happening at CHC, New Delhi.

I have heard that now, CHC New Delhi is running on priority basis for the Tsunami disaster.

Will this have any impact on my case. Till last week, i was told that 80% staff of CHC, New Delhi is on leave for X'mas and New Year Eve.

But, now i hope, there are working full time.

Sir, kindly tell me, what should i do to get my landing papers as early as possible, because, in another 4 months, my medicals will be expired.

It happened to my parents a few years ago. I sponsored them. They had their medicals done & my dad had to go for a re-medical after a couple of months. After around 8-9 months I did an inquiry from Toronto, and they told me Delhi is still processing the papers. Apparently it seems that from here I have to tell them to do an overseas inquiry, so they connect to Delhi's computer systems and check the status. That took them around 45 mins. while I was holding the line.

Guess what - 45 days before the medicals were to expire they call up, Yes, call up my parents and tell them you have to fly within 45 days. They were told to book their tickets and send the proof to Delhi and only then will their visa be released. You can imagine what the last month must have been for my parents.

Dear friends
I am also waiting for landing papers .

I have applied at New Delhi in Feb2001

I got my medicals and waiver in the month of May 2004 and I have submitted my passport to CHC in August 2004.

Since then, there is no decision from CHC, New Delhi.

What I have to do?
