Duration:6+ months
This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of applications written in SQL, PL*SQL, SQL*Loader, stored procedures, VSS, Advanced Queuing, and Unix shell scripting interfacing with an Oracle 8i and 9i databases. Experience with mainframe would be an asset.

Role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following::
-Provide day to day application support
-1st line escalation support
-Monitor month-end load processes
-Work with Line of Business to determine Business and Functional Requirements
-Participate in system design specifications: system architecture, application and database designs
-Assist in determining project estimates and establish project plan
-Develop/enhance applications written in SQL, PL*SQL, SQL*Loader, stored procedures, and Unix shell scripting -Interfacing with an Oracle 8I database

-Work with Infrastructure teams

In addition to the Required Skills noted above, the following skills are considered an asset:
-exposure to mainframe systems - MVS, ISPF,JCL,DB/2, LIBMAN

MH: -Strong SQL, PL*SQL, Oracle experience (min 5 to 6 years)
-Stored procedures experience
-Experience in UNIX shell scripting
-Database and performance tuning experience
-Data Warehousing or ETL experience
-Credit or Risk Management preferred but at least Banking, Brokerage or related experience
