Friends,
As you all know, we were trying to open a Gujarati class in the Scarborough area especially for the students of Belmere, Woburn and Cornell.
I am glad to inform that the classes are alreay on its way! Toronot district school board has started one gujarati class in the Woburn Jr. Public School.
It was difficult initally as school board said that you need to have 25 students to start a class, with our collaborative efforts we got about 32 students and the class started.
What is interesting that, there were many parents still want their child to attend this class.
Today morning in the scholl there were many more people came with full interest and I hope they have to start another class soon.
What is our next goal - to have Gujarati education for each Gujarati child!
Come on friends - we can do it again!
