Nortel's Q3 revenues fall short, wins Indian wireless deal
Huh! when will Nortel act straight? Developing coutnries need to rescue.
Most of the stories in American newspapers focus on the outsourcing aspect and how they're losing jobs to India. Wonder if anybody's paying attention to these contracts these big US/Canadian companies are landing there.
I know Lucent's gone in big time in India too and it is really helping their bottomline.

Are you there?
In fact Nortel got hit to the tune of $250 million in order to get a bigger piece of the Indian pie. It already had $1b order and now another $500m to boot.
Personally I rate Nortel technology as the best. It spends awfully large amount of money on R&D. Despite accounting delays and its associated problems, Nortel has been getting contracts from all over the world. I feel once it files its statements in January 2005 (???) and analysts get down to valuations, the share price movements would be more predictable.
