Dear Sir,
I am a PR card holder and residing in Canada. I had applied for my wife's sponsorship in sep 04 ,who is in India at the moment, I got a letter from CPC in oct 04 stating that they received the papers and also a client number.
1. I regularly check the cic website to check for updates in the e-client section,is the cic website updated because it gives me the same info. And the call center for cic here does not give you any info about your papers, they say check the website or you will be notified.
2. The cic was on strike sometime back,i suppose this has affected the process times. But normally how long does it take by your experience?
3. I just want to know how are the papers routed once they have been submitted, i mean it goes to cpc here in Canada and then to New Delhi and back to Canada, correct me if i am wrong, please advise as to where the visa will be issued. Will she have to undergo an interview?
Thanks
Best wishes and happy new year
Wartsup
1. that's what everyone else has to go through these days, unfortunately
2. 8-16 weeks for regular cases. More if interview is required.
3. CPC then New Delhi. Visa is issued at N/Delhi.
