Dear Sir
I recently recieved First stage of approval for my PR application (within canada).
and also submitted my medical, Please give your inputs on the processing time.
Though i have been advised not to travel till i get my PR card, i need to go to India for a month , plaese advise what i should do. Do you also think that waiting another six- eight months is ideal, is there any way i can travel. I have a valid work permit also.
Your suggestions are extremly valuable. Please advise
If you have a TRP [visa] that allows you to re-enter Canada, you can go to India.
Inland spouse processing is currently taking approximately 6-8 months from start to finish.

Dear Sir
Thank you for your response, Initially i was told that application processing time is 6-8 months but i applied in May 2004 and the CIC call centre says it will take morethan 12 months.
I don't think i qualify for a temporary resident permit, is there anyway of speeding up the process.
Regards
veronica

To clarify , i have a valid work permit and i am also eligble for a open work permit, whilei wait for my PR application to proceed further.
In your opinion can i apply for TRP.
I am ready to wait for the application to go through but its taking time as usual and in the meantime wanted to travel to India.
You can but try.
