OK, I've not closed my doors on other locations. Just that I've taken a bit of interest in Calgary. I was even toying with the idea of Halifax for some time!

In any case, I'm definitely coming to Canada by end of Feb or by March the latest. I kind of narrowed it down to Toronto and Calgary. Started looking outside Toronto after not receiving any response for so many of my applications, and Calgary came as the next alternative.

I'm from New Jersey. I've experienced 5 winters in NY, NJ & CT areas. Not as cold as Calgary, but I can imagine how cold it can get. In a way, that is one reason I would be interested in going to Calgary towards the end of the winter! That way, we get to experience the hardships of the winter for a short while and can be treated to a rewarding spring and summer immediately -- provided I get a good job of course!


If you don't mind, can you share your job hunt experience.. I presume you landed in Toronto? Were you able to get any interviews prior to landing?
