the Landing Document for PR could be used to counter that problem
You have to turn in all proof of PR in original to get Canadian Passport. Correct me if I'm wrong........Then how will you retain your Landing Document for time pass........

A Proud Indian Canadian
Yesterday I had the opportunity to participate in a live video-conference with Mr. Jagdish Tytler, in-charge of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. It was an hour long chat on a host of issues concerning NRIs and PIOs including the issue of dual citizenship.
The dual citizenship is being allowed for all those who migrated after Jan 26, 1950. However, those who left India before this deadline would only enjoy the PIO privileges. The duals would have all the rights except the rights to vote and rights to buy farm property and plantations.
The Minister is visiting Toronto next month. I feel we, the Canadian Desis, should meet him and use this opportunity to air our views.

They are still not accepting applications. Temporarily Suspended. Wonder how long this will take.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
