I totally agree..
The situation went out of hand due to the media...
These bastards tried to protray such a bad picture of Gujarat...

Even today...every week..they have some article which says bad about GUjarat.

I think some people are bent on destroying the name of Gujarat..

WHat happenend...happenned...Its hard to forget and also harder to forgive...but then ..can we all keep this in mind and not think about future...
There should be a point when we should keep this aside..and think about Gujarats future ...in an economic sense

I recently read somewhere - each states have to report crime to central government. In that data gujarat was among the least criminal state... with all states ruling by Congress on TOP

I know one thing.
Whenever I run into some pakistani/bangladeshi and they inquire my background.
On knowing that I am gujarati, they ask me lot of questions in context to the violence going on now and then. I've heard that on Ganapati Visarjan day there were riots in Baroda.
Property prices have considerably gone down.
I really hate these politicians.

There is nothing wrong with Gujarat or Hindus in Gujarat.

In case of Godhra - a mob attacked a train. A mob means local people (citizen of India!) - and they are also in hundreds. This spread strong anti-muslim message through out gujarat - it was so intense and quick that even before government can do anything it resulted in deaths of hundreds. BJP, RSS, Bajaranddal might have helped to organise people, but even without that this could have happened.

After that Akshardham incedent happened. Swaminarayan is very strong in Gujarat and to attack on thier main temple is something serious. Gujarat was quite. Cameramen and reporters from NDTV and other anti-India media people wandered in gujarat but could not find anything. That was people of Gujarat - who knew that this time the enemy is not from Gujarat but somewhere else and so why punish Muslims of Gujarat? (Compare to Godhara where the local resident did that)

Even after killing of Haren Pandya - it kept quite.

Recently with bombay blasts targetting Gujarati it kept quite.

So, this is Gujarat - don't be confuse with its business mentality and this face. They are still Business People!
