I am applying for a Canadian PR soon. I am trying to find a nice and attractive job title for my work. Any suggestions? Does job title matter? My boss is ready to write whatever I want to. My actual job title is IT Supervisor and before that it was Information Systems Specialist. It is a helpdesk support.
I do similar work as described below, which comes from Canadian NOC website. I also do some support in networking area.
-Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
-Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
-Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
-Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other -technical support analysts
-Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
-May supervise other technical support workers in this group.

Ask for a title that bears highest marks in the NOC occupation code list.
Each NOC code has a description of activities performed by that NOC profession on the CIC website. You'll have to go thru them yourself.

I did go through NOC website and found out the job description that I have included in my previous message. Just wanted to ask those who have applied and received PR if the title matters. Looks like nobody wants to answer that question.
I did not find where it says what score you are going to get for what job title. I thought Australian immigration works that way, not the Canadian one. I may be wrong on this.

Once you have suceesfully migrated to canada, the title does not matter at all. Its upto you to find a job in your field or any other field. No one will ask you about the NOC under which you migrated to Canada.
Regarding the points, I am not sure about the latest immigration points system, but when I applied four years ago, we had NOC points system in the canadian immigration system.
