Hi,
I landed in Canada in March 2003, I stayed there for two months and got PR Card and then I came back to USA because of my family. And we are planning to move to Canada permanently in December/January.
I also importrd my car in Windsor, Canada and got Federal Inspection but could not register my car in Canada as there was some loan to pay on that car in USA.
Now that car is in USA with me. I have two questions:
1. What I have to do if I want to bring my car my back to Canada in December/Januaury?
2. Can I goto Canada by that Car just for a day or two now or not, will it be a problem if I drive from Detroit to Windsor?

Before you import, Is the title on your name now?
This is what I did:
I called the Detroit US border office and informed them that I need to import the car into Canada.
They asked me to send the "car title" to them via FedEx, they kept for 72 hours. After the 72 hours, I arrived at the border, the office is separate from the border customs office. They stamped the "car title" with some stuff.
I told Canadian side of customs that I need to import the car. I got the Form-2 from them. Later they will mail you a sticker, to attach to the car. (next to original car information on side of the door)
Later I took the original title, Form-2, inspection letters to the Canada car registration office.
For that matter, I wonder how you imported your car into Canada without informing the US folks.
