Should a computer left running for 12 hours without a screen saver be safe then switching it on and off about four or five times a day.
I don't know what the technical answer to your question would be. But at work, we are required to reboot the computer only once a week. The machine is otherwise on 24/7. The monitors are switched off every evening, but that is not too much of a saving in power if your monitor is programmed to "sleep" after a certain period of inactivity.
