I am a Canadian PR ( Landed immigrant since June 2004 ), I have got my PR card and SIN for self and all of family members ( Wife plus 2 kids ).
But currently I working in USA on H1B and my family is also with me.
In this scenario some one suggested that Even if the PR's not residing in Canada have to submit / file their annual income tax Returns ( irrespective of the amount of income, i.e; even if a NIL income return ).
Can some one throw some light on this? and Any one has simillar experience may share here.
Thanks
Venkat
Better to do it for records

We will find a way or we will make one
You have to file a Form(don't know the name) with Canadian Tax Dept to declare yourself as a non resident. otherwise u have to file taxes for canada as well as usa. But while filling for canada, u can get the foreign tax exemption
