Thanks for your question!!!! I never got any request for my photo id and and landing papers. When I applied for my citizenship I did send all my valied drivers license, healthcard and my landing papers photo copy. My application was very smooth. Good luck with your citizenship.

Thanks for your question!!!! They never asked for my indian passport. They just took my PR card and saw both my drivers license and my health card. Yes couple of months back Indian embassy in Ottawa mentioned that dual citizenship is in progress but now they have put on hold. After i got my Canadian citizenship technically lost my Indian citizenship. Once dual things is back in Indian embassy will apply for one. Hope this ans all your questions and doubts.

so basically at the moment, if you have to travel to india, do you have to get a visa for india.

Yes to go to India need to take visa. Hope the dual citizenship comes soon.
