Me and my wife both have a PR card for the last 4 months now. Both of us are being offered a job offer in the USA. I am aware of the 2 out 5 Years rule.
What if i keep coming back to Canada once a month from USA? Will that affect my PR status?
Thanks,
Aseem
Does coming once a month take care of the 2 out of 5 years . If it does , go ahead but if it does not , think again

No, coming once in a month is not going to take care of 2 out of 5 rule. You have to be physically present for 730 days in every 5 year block. So, you have to stay for 40% time in canada. It may be in one go or many trips. Otherwise, either you have to work for Canadian Company or you should accomany Canadian Citizen spouse ( Not Children) for accumulating days to cover shortfall in residency days.

You guys should actually read the answers that are posted here.
Listen and Read carefully !
A Permanent Resident can stay 2 out of 5 in Canada to complete the PR obligation . Once done you can stay out of Canada for maximum of 3 years , but keep coming every 6 months or less. Ofcourse this is not going to take care of 2 out of 5 years Rule.
Now if this is not true then looks like you guys are not giving the right information so far.
Smiley - I have read you responses to most of my queries and thats what I learnt.
Manasvi - wrote then I can stay even more than 2 years out of Canada.
