Would you be the moderator for that group "itprofcanada" and would be placing the rules to allow somebody to join or not join.?
As of now, it's a free group, I mean anybody can join in without requiring any permissions, that may not be the best way to go forward as members may start getting spam, non-sense mails and this group may have the same fate as did "cadit" which has many members but nobody seems to share any useful information there.
So before starting any group, put in place some rules and take the responsibility of managing that group...

origin are launching a new committee within
Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce organization to build,
enhance and facilitate IT trade & business between

in their career and business growth.
Indo-Canadian Association of Technology and Software
(ICATS) group – a new committee in ICCC is poised to
provide necessary IT networking forum for making
stronger connections within IT business community in
Canada and India .
This group will provide guidance and opportunities to
Investors, Entrepreneurs and Professionals in
marketing IT products & services thereby encouraging
career growth opportunities; new Ventures and business
between India and Canada .
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 15 to
20 hours per month to this committee in various roles
such as event planning and co-ordination, research
work and marketing to IT professionals, investors and
IT companies to contribute to the success of this new
committee.
The date of ICATS launch event is 07th May 2008
between 6:00pm to 8:30pm. More details of the event
including event flyer will follow in near future.
