I met a dear friend of mine after a long time, and he works for a very good IT firm in US as an HR person. He had very good offers for the US lined up about 3 of them and he approached some of our recruitment companies here looking for good people that he could put on these projects. These were contracts and paying anywhere from 75-90 USD per hour.
Which is a big "WOW" and these were developer positions by the way. So then he went on to tell me that he couldnt get anyone here because the companies told him the dollar that he was quoting was too less. Can you believe it, he was also told that he would get good guys for much much higher than that. Now I can understand why it is so difficult to find a job here, I am sure there are people here who would gladly go for this job and at this rate. So I asked him if he mentioned really high qualifications or something, he said no. It was a .net developer with Sql Server 2000 experience with 2-3 years of project experience.
If you havent got a job uptil now I wouldnt blame your qualifications sometimes it just gets stuck in this money game.
