Waiting for 6-7 hours in emergency? What's with this health system?Any feedback on hospitals in GTA which don't have so much waiting time.

This has been discussed a lot before in charcha, please search.
All hospitals in Ontario (including GTA) have the same standards and wait times - again it depends on the workload of that hospital at that time - if there have been major accidents in its viscinity, it could be longer, for 'quite' days, it could be shorter. If it is a life threatening emergency, you will be attended to immediately...or if you know a senior doctor offering services in that hospital, you are lucky.
Welcome to canada...

You can try using walk-in clinics. They serve you faster and many times have contacts with nearby hospitals so if it is urgent, they can get you into the hospital faster. This is from my own personal experience with my dad and a surgery he had recently.

Similar to way of getting things done in India??..Is this not a main reason, people are migrating from India to Canada to avoid such things and to get a fair and transparent system for all?
If a hospital can make that happen faster in Emergency, then why would a common man need to work through the "Jugaad" system to attain that service?.
