Yeh is desh ka durbhagaya hai ki itne saare 'immigrant doctors' hone ke bawjood yahan doctors ki kami ho rahi hai.
I know couple of doctors personally who have pratised for at least five years in India after their MD, came to Canada about three years back, got coaching from Kaplan institute, completed all the required courses , worked very very hard to pay the fees etc. etc. but no luck in Canada. Now in the second week of March, they are going to USA, hopefully with a job of over $150,000 a year, saying 'Good-Bye' to Canada.

Deal With Reality or Reality Will Deal With You
The Ontario Doctors Association has recently started advertising on radio saying that the Govt. of Ontario is doing nothing to improve the health care situation.
Their message is that there is an acute shortage of doctors in Ontario and there are several million people who don't have a family doctor.
They said that the doctors are working hard and long hours because of the Govt.'s bad policies.
I agree with them that the Govt needs to take significant steps to improve the health care scenario in Ontario.
This should include more incentives to doctors, making the certification process of pre-qualified doctors easier and encouraging more doctors to move (and stay) in Ontario.
It is not enough for the Govt. to keep reminding us that we have socialised health care (unlike the US) and that our taxes are higher because we have social health care.
Either take responsibility and improve things, or get out of the way and let the private sector deal with the health care situation in a competitive market scenario.
