Hi,
I would like to know of good family physicians (preferably female) around Dandas and Hurontario who can accept new patients.

I found Dr. Michael Ostro and Dr. Somaia Khataan who are nearby but I have no idea about their services. I would appreciate if someone can give feedback about them which can help me make a decision.

This is considering the fact that I would have my family with me who would be without OHIP for initial 3 months. I would have private insurance but that would not be cashless. I definitely would not want a doctor who is only interested in swiping the card.

Can someone also tell me if it is possible to get enrolled with a physician on recommendation of existing client even if doctor is not accepting new patients?

Try "Kingsbridge Medical center". Its at Eglinton and Hwy 10, so not too far from your posted location. The clinic has a few doctors and they usually accept new patients. My family's experience with a couple of doctors in the clinic has been very good.

be carefull with Dr. Somia Khataan, she is scam doctor for OHIP billing, she wants you to come to her clininc every day for 2 seconds so she can swipe your OHIP card and bill OHIP.

On the other hand she is not gonna touch you ever for any kind of test like stethscope even you have high fever, yuor kids cannot go in the waiting room even if they are infant and not a patient.

If you don't visit her for three or six months than she will interrogate you as an immigiration officer and most likely declared you that you are not a Ontario resident and you are a fraud so she will make calls to OHIP to prompt them and cause suspission about you.

And OHIP will cancel your OHIP card and will call you to their office to verify yourself , which is headache for the whole family.

So my advise better to look for something doctor.

None of the staff is canadian qualified or registered nurse and they will give you medications or test you or inject you like junior doctors which is completely illegal.
