Exactly. We've only seen 2 Indian restaurants and 1 cash n carry near us.....so were'nt too sure.....

Only asking the question as we've moved from England and it's my first time here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh come on now... You should know by now that no matter where you go, you will find desis. And that obviously includes Kitchener too!

Definitely less Indians than GTA here in Kitchener.

May be seeing Malton and Westwood Mall in Mississauga would make you more comfortable! It is one hour drive from Kitchener.

Go to the temple in Cambridge.....will give you a chance to meet up with some desi people.

We are moving in end of may to Kitchener. Can anybody guide us how much rent is for a 1/2 BR apt?

I have to start my job by 1st of June but I am planning to move by end of may only. so, is it easy to find apt within short span of time?

I prefer an apt with access to public transport.

More advices are welcome

Well it depends where you are working really? Are you working in Downtown Kitchener or Uptown Waterloo?

I live in downtown Kitchener....so I can recommend a few places for you to get an apartment. I would say depending on location...one bedroom
can cost anything from $600 to 800 and 2 bedroom from $800 to $1200. It all depends on the quality of the building and location again.

Try to find some desis in towns like.. Orillia, Alliston, Chatham, Tilbury, Kanora.. and so on

and as a side note when my friend arrange any party in the Kitchner he ask me to bring desi food from GTA as no good desi Restaurants are availble in the Kitchner...
