If you have purchased air tickets for travel to India thru a travel agent (paid cheque) and cancel them in advance, any idea/personal experience on timelines on when they will refund you the fare.
One of the travel agents has said that it takes minimum 6 weeks to 3 months before they can issue the refund and this policy is from all the airlines.
This is absolutely outrageous !!!
that is tru and plus you can expect cancellation charges of $500/- per ticket. Unless it is a very genuine case were the airline can consider waiving

6 weeks to 3 months for refund? That is outrageous.
a) When you book your tickets, they give you 2 days to confirm it. So you end up paying upfront.
b) If for some reason you decide to cancel and go on another date, 3 months for refund?
