Hello,
I understand that rental lease agreements are generally for 1 year. How do poeple manage temporary accommodation (say for 2 - 3 months), until the initial job hunt process.
Please advice.
Regards,
Mostly rental agreements are minimum one year for the initial 1st year and thereafter month to month. However you can find month to month or other terms if the landlord is willing to rent under such terms or if you can sublet the apartment from another tenant, with the landlord's consent.
You can find some interesting website that can offer you such service, try:

There are many landlords who help newcomers with no job or credit history. In such cases, the landlord receives 3 or more months rental deposit (which cannot be allowed as per the law) but this happens often, with the mutual consent of the tenant and the landlord .
