I called up RBC for an insurance quote.
Currently i am renting a house
There are 2 more poeple staying with me who i hardly know
Now the insurance company wants policy, license, date of birth, ins exp date and lots of other information for these drivers too before they can give me insurance
I asked the people who i stay with for this information and they are not ready to give this to me as they feel i will be added as the second driver on their quote, but this is not true, RBC will not give me insurance till i get this info...what do i do...
plz help...

Why don't you try some other insurance provider.Initially you might have to pay bit high on your insurance based on your G/G2 status,but eventually you can have a good bargain while renewal.Try Statefarm Ins,TD etc.

Next time you ask for a quote and they ask you do you have rooommates ?? just say no I live alone.

Why RBC needs info on your roommates? r u adding them on your policy? this is th efirs time I have heard something like this. And u were asking your roommates to provide info abt them? Wake up man. You dont live in India anymore.

Insurance companies do ask the question - Is there anybody else apart from you in the household who has a driver's license?

If I am not mistaken, they mean in the family. Not the roommates or strangers/drifters who may be living for a few weeks.
OK you know what i told them that they are not relatives and i see them less than once a month
They said it dosent matter as long as they live in the same house.
Anyway i called them, gave a different number and got the insurance
