People with tickets can get with in a short period. Since you say if I can apply on Monday, I am sure that you are ready to apply tomorrow. You will get it in three weeks, but if you have an e-ticket, then they will issue it to you before Friday and you will have to go there in person and drop it and pick it up. If they find that they can give you before the departure date, they might drag it a bit. It is left to them.

Also, they will give India visa on same day in case of emergency (for an additional fee).
So as soon as you get Canadian passport go to Indian consulate and apply for visa.
If all your documents are in order, you will get it same day.

India does not recognize dual citizenship. As you are a Canadian citizen, you have to travel with Canadian passport and Indian visa.

I am a permanent resident of canada, Citizen of India. My baby who is 8 months old was born in Canada and therefore is a canadian citizen, will she require a Visitors Visa? I am going to apply for a canadian Passport very soon?
