Hi All,
I know this topic has been discussed a lot of time. I have browsed nearly 100 posts to get my answer but unsuccessful.
I applied for a Multiple Entry Visit Visa for my mother. She has got the visa stamped on her passport for Multiple Entry. But the validity of the visa or the number of times she can enter and exit is not mentioned anywhere on the visa. (The only date mentioned on the visa stamp is the date of issue and date of expiry, which as per my knowledge is the date by which she needs to enter Canada.)
My question is that , Is the validity of multiple entry decided at the Port of Entry or is it valid untill passport expiry (mothers passport expires in 2013)?
Any reply will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I hope this section will answer all or most of the questions that you want to ask and want to get the answers to. If there is still a point that you want to find out about, please call the CIC offices nearest to you, during their working hours. They have a local number here in Toronto.

Freddie.
Visa will be valid until the date of expiry of the visa. As the name suggests, it is a multiple entry visa (can enter as many time as you like until the date of expiry of the visa). Officer at POE will ask usual questions every time at the time of entry.

Hello,
My mom in law has just come on a one year tourist visa(multiple entry)--she had done this 2 yrs back too--basically one can enter and exit as many times as wanted till the date of expiry--she has the return trip to India a few days before the expiry date--in between she will be going to the states twice.
So in essence at immigration they do not stamp how many times you can enter/exit, just make sure you give yourself a few days before the expiry date to return.
Hope this helps
One can stay upto only 6 months at stretch in Canada after entry on multiple entry or single entry visa if not stamped with the return date by officer. Expiry of passport or visa should not be used for the stay purposes.
