A good forum to the to-be- immigrants, Well I am from Muscat & I too have applied for the immigration but am still waiting for further progress in my case processing. The agency said that it takes at least 15-18 months from the date of filing the case. Hani, how long did it take you to get through the interview after getting the file no.? Also if you could advise me like what was the interview like. My case processing started on March 15th 2005. So how long will I have to wait for the interview? Please respond & thanks in advance

Thank you for replying and responding. I understand you have received the interview call a month back, in that case, I believe you would have been intimated the interview date as well, else you may contact Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi, perhaps they may be able to guide you. Or if you have applied with help from any consultant then he/she should be the right person to advice you.However thanks for the contact number, I shall give you a call on your mobile number mentioned (050-7950941)

Thank you too for responding. I think we both are in the same boat. My application was received and accepted by the CHC London in April 05.(ie my file was opened ) So we both are to get processed in same time frame. Yes your agency has mentioned right time frame, it takes around 18 month, so as per that, your case should be reviewed by this march 06, and then onwards you should be getting further feedback from the CHC. So you can expect anything after such period only. Hope you have submitted all the required documents by now so that when they review your case at the end of 12 month from the date of file acceptance date (in your case by March 06) , they do not have to ask you for further details which may in turn delay your process.If all papers are submitted properly then you may get interview dates or may get waiver as the case may be and then you need to go for medical as per their instruction and from the time of medicals it will take around 3-4 months to get the landing papers (or visa stamping).

The above information was explained to me by my immigration consultant and also learned from couple of friends and this website too (Thanks to all desis in this forum too)

Till the time wait and save all the money you can which will be useful in setting up your new life in your new home.

I think, Mapel is right. He has explained everything in a systematic order. But just would like to advise that pls. make sure to submit your IELTS result, which is most most important.
