Hi I sponsered my parents in July 2004, Mississauga acknowledged of receiving my sponspership application on July 16, 2004. Its January 2006, still haven't heard anything from anywhere. It says on Immigration site it takes up to 26 to 27 weeks in canada its over year and half..I hope to receive something by September 2006. I have submitted the right of landing fee completely.

Did anyone else who sponsered their parents in 2004...received anything yet?. Please let me know. thanks

I applied as well in July 2004. Waiting time is 26 to 27 months and nothing from CIC.

I am in the same boat. I sponsored my parents in June 2004 and I haven't received any correspondence from CPC, Mississauga till date. I have a quick question with regard to processing time of 26-27 months. What this time means? I mean time from date of application to get the medical papers or what?

In the last 3 weeks CPC Mississauga has processed applications received between November 5 and December 8, 2003. This good news comes after some slowing down of the processing in the Christmas and elections periods. We don’t know whether this change is related to the results of elections or not. We just hope CPC keeps processing applications at the same pace.

We would like to present up-to-date statistics on our Web site. We will appreciate it very much if you send us your own statistics to info@sponsoryourparents.ca indicating submission dates of your application to CPC Mississauga or consulate and the dates of any letter from CPC and/or consulate. Mr. Richard Kurland notified us that for all new people seeking to participate in the class action process, the cost of participation will be significantly increased effective April 1, 2006 for all new people to participate in the class action process from $350 to $1500.00 per class action participant. Yes, its time counted from the day Candian Immigration received ur application. Currently they are now opening Jan 2004, which means by November 2006, I should receive a reply from them about my parents sponsorship application dated July 16, 2004
