I was in the process of editing it when you added that.

So looking at your answer, the kids should have been better raised/kept so that they dont do such things right!
Then thats got nothing to do with banning NFS.........That should clear the air then.

:D are you a nfs addict? :) I like game boy games that are cutesy like super mario bros and donkey kong etc.

What do you think in regards to your first point? Kids today..are they getting enough parental attention? Why are Youth resorting to speedracing violence crime etc? In Manitoba I remember reading an article saying that youth were stealing cars and ramming them into the sides of buildings. My question is WHERE ARE THE PARENTS?

Anyway, I guess no banning of need for speed. Happy? :p

I havent noted incidents of Road rage lately in GTA....there have been hit and runs, but none of road rage as fas as I recall in recent times..I have been following the toronto star..did i miss them??

Hiren

They don't call this Road rage. This is street racing.

Street races are usually planned ahead by groups of teens and usually they race during midnight when the traffic is low.

This has been going on in Toronto for more than 4 years (atleast I have seen several Toronto Star articles since the last 4 years). In 2002/2003, a pergnant women was killed in a street racing incident. Somewhere around the same time a group of teens driving a Honda Car one midnight on QEW (I think after crossing Burlington towards St.Catherines) went off the elevated highway and falling below during a street race.

While new immigrant professionals struggle to make a living (after paying one of the highest rate of taxes in the world) often getting employed in positions way below what they should have been due to hurdles like provinicial licencing etc., Canadian born young people involve themselves in senseless acts like street racing. Here is one more car crash (this time in Vancouver) from Street Racing:

Thousands of dollars of tax payer's money will be spent on treating these irresponsible people.

I suppose teens can be banned from driving on the highway 400 series and mutiple offenses will result in getting their licenses revoked for longer periods each time. And if people are driving despite no license, then jail time should come in.

And if worse comes to worst... just follow the hindi movie philosophy and have the cops 'accidentally' kill some people in the name of 'encounter.' :D

And now the quetion is - how do you avoid such things which are slowly growing? The need for letting out more and more power which teens today show on computer games and cars - but not in playing outdoor games.

Do you think stricter laws would be an answer? If yes, how strict? A prolonged prison sentence? An eye for an eye? Or even a fine on immediate family who 'provide'them ammunitions and causes to indulge in such deeds?

Chandresh

How about a Ban on games such as "Need for Speed"??

Apparently that was found in the car of a recent speed racer who had an accident while racing.

Ban? Kya dictatorship hai? 1984 kab ka khalaas ho gaya.

ROAD TOLLS

Cars and speed have been a deadly combination throughout the country in recent years.

* From 2000 to 2005, at least 29 people died in the Greater Toronto Area as a result of street racing.

* In Hamilton, in July 2001, bicyclist Timothy Ekelman, 36, was killed when struck by one of two cars racing on Main Street East. One driver was never caught; the other received 18 months of house arrest.

* Bahadur Singh Bhalru was convicted of criminal negligence causing death in 2002 after a street-racing accident in Vancouver killed 51-year-old Irene Thorpe
