Hello Everyone,
I am on the study permit in Canada and planning to visit my aunt who is residing in USA. I've USA visitor visa. Now I wonder, what documents do I need to carry while travelling to USA ?
I would also like to know would be there any problem while entering USA as my passport and USA visa expires in august 2006, also my study permit of Canada.
Thank you for your time and waiting for you reply.
To be on a safer side, carry all your travel documents
like passports, visa papers/ approval letters if any, and other documents indicating your status in Canada. Preferably a letter from the Institution indicating your visit ONLY trip to the US. ( I am not sure if you could get one)
Normally employees get such letters from their employers.
Most of them may not be asked for, but you never know.
you need the same doc u need if you traveled from India.
passport with valid US visa.
valid visa for canada inorder to reenter canada
if your cnadian permit is till august 2006 then u can travel anytime bet this period.
carry your ID from the university u are studing which proves that u have to come back to finish your studies. or maybe a letter from the school thet shows your current status in the country
I think all this should do. I think the fact that we as PR holders need avisa sucks . they can enter with just a drivers licience. home land security is all screwed up.
